The pet insurance contract can be signed by the owner or any other legal possessor of the pet.
Pet insurance provides an opportunity to insure a dog or a cat that is at least four months and at most eight years old.
Pet insurance indemnifies the losses caused by:
- the death of the animal as a result of an accident or illness
- veterinary help provided to the animal
- loss of the animal
- civil liability of the animal owner.
The prerequisite for the contract is that your dog must be registered in the Estonian Kennel Union and your cat in the Estonian Cat Breeding Club Felix. The animal must have a tattoo or a microcapsule. The tattoo helps to identify the animal in case of a loss event.
Rarer pets can be insured by special agreement.
