In January ERGO will start offering its motor third party liability insurance clients the option to pay for their policies on a monthly basis and the price of a policy taken out for a month is as good as the monthly fee of a policy taken out for a year. It means that the price of motor third party liability insurance for shorter periods will drip by up to a third.

The offer applies to short-term policies under YES contracts, which are automatically renewed for the subsequent insurance period. Motor third party liability insurance policies can be bought at all ERGO branches in Estonia and also from most brokers.

Director of Insurance Andres Konsap says that reducing the difference in the monthly fees payable for short-term and long-term policies is a concession for car owners. “The change means that many car owners can spread a major expense over a longer period and keep their family’s budget in balance. It no longer matters whether you pay for a policy taken out for one month or for the entire year in one go – the monthly fee is the same," added Andres Konsap. “Offering even policy prices gives us an advantage over other insurance companies on a competitive market,” he added.

In addition to the changes in the price of short-term policies, ERGO is also the only insurance company to offer free recovery services to its motor third party liability insurance clients.

Motor third party liability insurance is mandatory insurance that insures the driver’s liability to the persons affected by the accident and indemnifies the material and personal damage caused to third parties. Motor third party liability insurance is valid in all Green Card countries (incl. Russia). We advise you to take your Green Card, which is the document evidencing valid motor third party liability insurance, with you when you travel to a foreign country in your car. ERGO issues Green Cards to motor third party liability insurance clients free of charge.
